March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Anaheim, CA and Irvine, CA  - Woodridge Press (Anaheim) and OCPC (Irvine) today announced a merger of the two companies. The merger positions the combined organization as the leader in local commercial print and communications management services, offering a broad portfolio of integrated products, services and technology drivers to empower medium and large businesses to effectively manage their brands, literature and product fulfillment.

The union creates one of the largest commercial print companies in Orange County, and provides increased financial strength to continue investments in cutting edge manufacturing equipment and service offerings. The company will operate under the name OCPC – formerly Orange County Printing Company – in Irvine, CA, where sales and manufacturing will operate. The combined organization will continue to be wholly owned by Consolidated Graphics, Inc., Houston, TX , one of the largest US commercial printers with manufacturing locations in 27 states, Canada, the Czech Republic and Japan.

“This is an exciting, promising time for our customers and our local marketplace,” said Tarek Korraa, President of OCPC.  “Though our industry is in a remarkable state of transition and technological changes, we have continued to enjoy growth because of our aggressive diversity in integrated product and technology offerings. This merger will position us firmly at the top in Orange County, with the capabilities and capacity to support some the largest companies in the state and across the country.”

“This is the best thing to happen to Woodridge and OCPC,” says Jeff Olschwang, President of Woodridge Press. “We’re now a complete representation of Consolidated Graphics’ possibilities, all in one location. With advancements in digital printing, fulfillment and warehousing, we have outstanding  potential to support the marketplace. We will continue to pursue opportunities aggressively.”

Added Miguel Jacobowitz, Chief Operations Officer at OCPC, “We’re a much stronger force together than we were apart. Between our two teams we have some of the brightest minds in the industry. The blending of our talent  ensures the growth of continued innovation and unparalleled customer service and solutions.”
The merger is planned to be completed by March 31st.
