Dump Truck Crash Settled for $1,000,000

A rear-end accident involving a dump truck caused injuries to our client which resulted in herniated discs in the back and neck. Our client underwent 2 level cervical fusion.
 
March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Plaintiff, our client, a 47 year old truck driver, was operating his vehicle in LA 1 in Iberville Parish when he was rear-ended by the defendant’s dump truck.  As a result of this collision, plaintiff suffered several herniated discs in his neck and back.  Plaintiff failed conservative pain treatment of his neck injuries and therefore underwent a 2 level cervical fusion.  The neck surgery was successful; however, plaintiff’s treating physician recommended that he undergo lumbar surgery.  Prior to this surgery, plaintiff served the defendants with an offer of judgment for their $1,000,000.00 policy limit.  The defendants accepted the offer.  Plaintiff’s past medical expenses totaled approximately $136,000.
