Mar. 4, 2013 - Plaintiff, our client, a 47 year old truck driver, was operating his vehicle in LA 1 in Iberville Parish when he was rear-ended by the defendant’s dump truck. As a result of this collision, plaintiff suffered several herniated discs in his neck and back. Plaintiff failed conservative pain treatment of his neck injuries and therefore underwent a 2 level cervical fusion. The neck surgery was successful; however, plaintiff’s treating physician recommended that he undergo lumbar surgery. Prior to this surgery, plaintiff served the defendants with an offer of judgment for their $1,000,000.00 policy limit. The defendants accepted the offer. Plaintiff’
s past medical expenses totaled approximately $136,000.
