March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Gambling, drugs, guns, liquor, sex and greed, the perfect cocktail for
an adrenaline filled thriller/horror film.

Gravitas Ventures and Sky Studios International have announced the first release under the multi picture distribution deal with the gritty horror/thriller Finders Keepers: The Root of All Evil.

Gravitas and Woodward have been in negotiations regarding a partnership since December 2012, and have recently reached an accord.  Finders Keepers: The Root of All Evil is slated for video on demand release April 1, 2013.

Under the multi picture deal, Finders Keepers and several of Woodward’s other projects will be released to viewers nationwide via numerous VOD platforms including: Time Warner on Demand, Direct TV, Comcast, Dish Network, At&t, PS3, XBOX360, Netflix, Redbox Instant, iTunes, Vudu, Cinema Now, & Amazon Video on-Demand.  The largely inexperienced cast will receive international recognition for their gritty, realistic & raw performances.

The film follows two degenerate criminals during a 24 hour period as they orchestrate a deal that will reap a major reward.  When a chance run-in with a group of 20 something year-olds complicates their seemingly simple smash-and-grab operation, a deadly game of cat & mouse ensues.  Since the release of the official trailer, it has garnered over 100,000 Youtube views and has developed a cult following of sorts.

With a nod to Oscar Winning actor/director Ben Affleck, Woodward both acts in and directs this feature written by Pia Cook and Todd Gordon. Cook and Woodward have become quite a pair, working together on several films including "Blackout" starring Timothy Woodward Jr. and Hollywood’s King of Horror, Bill Oberst Jr., and the much anticipated first installment of the new modern day Dracula trilogy.

Finders Keepers: The Root of All Evil:
A high stakes poker game. A million dollars pay-out. A set of ruthless killers who want it all. Brothers, and degenerate criminals Chuck (Bachellor) and Mitch (Covington) orchestrate a deal with criminal low life Ryan Morris (Woodward) that will reap a major reward.  When a chance run-in with a group of 20 something year-olds complicates their seemingly simple smash-and-grab operation, a deadly game of cat & mouse ensues.  As the line between hunter and hunted becomes increasingly blurred, who will make it out of the woods alive?

Timothy Woodward Jr.:
Timothy Woodward Jr. was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina.  After graduating from high school, Woodward attended Trident College in Charleston, SC where he studied drama. After two years of higher education, he auditioned for and landed his first lead role in a teen drama series.

Shortly after landing his first job, Timothy met actor Brent Lovell. They soon discovered that in addition to sharing a love for acting, they also both loved working behind the scenes. They but their energy and passion for the industry to good use and founded Peachtree Pictures, a production company designed to help give the eastern coastal region's entertainment scene the same energy as Hollywood. Over the next few years, Woodward and Lovell worked on several national projects, and were even nicknamed the "The Matt Damon and Ben Affleck of the Carolina's".

Woodward is currently residing in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to work on both the front and back end of a multitude of projects.

Gravitas Ventures:
Gravitas Ventures specializes in the aggregation of entertainment content by connecting independent filmmakers, producers, and distribution companies with leading cable, satellite, telco and online distribution partners. In the last five years, Gravitas has released more than 2,000 films on Video on Demand (VOD). Through its relationships with studios and VOD operators, Gravitas can distribute a film into over 100 million North American and 1 billion worldwide homes.

While VOD is increasingly important right now, the ability to enjoy films in this manner has actually been around for a decade. CEO Nolan Gallagher founded Gravitas Ventures in 2006 after having the good fortune to help shape VOD strategies for the largest North American cable operator (Comcast), and a major studio (Warner Bros). With a simple mission to deliver ideas to the digital market, Nolan recognized that Gravitas could build a bridge between excellent independent films and consumer friendly technology offerings.

Soon after Gravitas’ inception, Nolan and Gravitas’ President and co-owner Michael Murphy began attending worldwide film festivals in search of thought provoking features and documentaries. Concurrently, they signed distribution deals with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and over a hundred direct deals with worldwide cable and internet VOD operators.

Today, Gravitas Ventures releases over 500 films a year on VOD in all of its forms including transactional, subscription, and ad sponsored. As technology improves and new VOD opportunities arise, Gravitas will continue to stay at the forefront, bringing exceptional independent film to audiences the world over.
