March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- New Rochelle, NY— Michael Policar, MD, MPH, Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, University of California, San Francisco will speak on “Chronic Pelvic Pain: Challenges in Diagnosis and Management” to a group of 1,000 physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare providers at Women’s Health 2013: The 21st Annual Congress which will be held March 22-24, 2013 in Washington, DC (www.bioconferences.com/wh).  

The Congress is presented by the Academy of Women’s Health, Journal of Women’s Health, and VCU Institute for Women’s Health, in partnership with NIH Office of Research on Women's Health, DHHS Office on Women’s Health, and Society for Women’s Health Research. Collaborating Organizations include the American College of Physicians, Virginia Chapter, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Heart Association's Go Red For Women, American Psychiatric Association, American Thyroid Association, The Endocrine Society, International Menopause Society, and National Stroke Association. Congress attendees will learn practical, clinical information and cutting-edge therapeutic protocols, advances in diagnosis and management, and innovative translational research advances that impact women’s health care.

Congress Chair Susan Kornstein, MD, Executive Director of the VCU Institute for Women's Health, Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Women’s Health, and President, Academy of Women’s Health and Congress Co-Chair Lisa Ellis, MD, Executive Director of Stony Point – VCU and Medical Director, VCU Institute for Women's Health, will bring together outstanding faculty of the highest caliber. An array of informative sessions will focus on the most clinically relevant topics in women’s health including cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, menopause, infectious diseases, reproductive health, bone health, psychiatry, and common clinical conditions.
