FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 4, 2013 - Author Sárka-Jonae is giving 22 lucky winners downloads of Taylor Swift's hit song “22” and copies of her funny women's fiction novel, “Between Boyfriends.” The novel has been described as the “ultimate chick-lit read” by East County Magazine and a “delicious slice of chick-lit” by bestselling author Jan Moran. The book recently hit #9 on Amazon's humorous fiction best sellers list. Sárka-Jonae thought of her character, Jan Weston, when she first heard “22.” Jan turns 22 during the novel in which the young San Diegan struggles to maintain a vow to quit dating, instead focusing on her life and friendships.
The contest ends on March 22. People can enter through Rafflecopter by tweeting about the contest, following Sárka-Jonae on Twitter (@boyfriendsnovel), or liking Sárka-Jonae's Facebook page. Sárka-Jonae is a Taylor Swift fan and decided to help promote the song that she says reminds her of her character's attitude in the second half of her book. Jan begins the novel obsessed with relationships, always jumping from one to the next, never really being single but instead just between boyfriends. After a cruel breakup, Jan is forced to realize her unhealthy dating patterns and chooses to give up on dating entirely, though not necessarily the hope of one day finding true love. Jan used boyfriends to define her and without them she learns who she is and how to be a better friend. She forms closer friendships with the women in her life and meets a hot guy in her massage therapy class. Since she can't date him, she does the next best thing: becomes his friend.
As Jan navigates life for the first time as a single lady, she begins to feel happier, lighter, and more confident. She is able to let down her walls and show the sweetness she hides inside. As her life starts to improve, all she wants to do is leave drama behind and go out and celebrate life with her friends. Taylor's song about eating breakfast at midnight, dancing like you're 22, and falling in love with strangers perfectly describes how many young women feel, including Jan. Sárka-Jonae would like women who cannot afford the song or her book to have a chance to win both. It is also her birthday soon and she likes to do things for others around her birthday.
Sárka-Jonae is a novelist and a health writer. She has more than 4,000 articles published online and in print. Sárka-Jonae is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She maintains a natural health and fitness blog at NaturalHealingTipsBlog.com and likes to promote up-and-coming authors at BetweenBoyfriendsBlog.com.
