By: abacab Trouble Women is loosely based on the book, “Men’s Guide to Trouble Women” by Jonathan AGO. It focuses three NYC women who exploit men for various purposes ranging from financial gain, power and materialism. The webisode intends to empower and soften the image of women from all walks of life through drama and humor. Lisa Velez finally confronts her husband in a sly manipulative way since he is a king pin drug lord, the usually modes of communication aren’t effective in telling him how she feels. Lisa drugs her husband and he is left to die as she leaves the house with only her purse. Six years later she is a new woman, college educated, sophisticated, wealthy independent woman, even though she had to marry a man years earlier to obtain her green card, he’s not really in the picture. A woman by the name of Josie, is wandering in Lisa’s Upper East Side apartment looking for a quick scam. Lisa, instead of calling the authorities, decides to take her in and mentor this lost soul. Josie is going to take some work, but Lisa has a plan brewing and isn’t afraid to take on new challenges. To explore various story lines by means of film, which allows visual storytelling to captivate the audience by giving them just enough information so that they can begin piecing the gestures, pictures, and dialogue together. This mode of expression will allow the audience to see the inner workings and motivations of the female protagonists in a way that only film has the ability to showcase.
