Italian born Pasqualino began his career at his family’s Pizzeria in the Sicilian province of Agrigento. He underwent formal pizza-making training only at a later stage, because, as he puts it, “the profession of high quality Italian pizza-making is something that one cannot learn only in an empirical way.” In 1998 he won the Sicily’s Acrobatic Pizza championship. By 2001 he was World Champion, a title that he won in 2002 for a second time. Since then he has made numerous appearances in Italian restaurants and pizzerias around the world.
For three days Chef Pasqualino will be entertaining guests of PAX through a series of events aimed at bringing Pizza enjoyment back to its traditional routes. Kicking off the festivities he will be hosting a Traditional Pizza Making Masterclass where guests will learn the authentic skills from the master himself and then either dine together with Chef Pasqualino at PAX or take their creations home.
PAX Restaurant has created a pizza-centric set menu inspired by Chef Pasqualino and featuring sharing appetizers and a selection of main courses to choose from before finishing with delicious deserts the Mediterranean country is famous for.
Friday Brunch on Dusit Thani Dubai’s 24th floor takes an Italian twist on March 8 with entertainment from Chef Pasqualino in a number of live pizza acrobatic displays.
