To match our exceptional competitors, our judging panel consists of the finest names in the pastry world. Among the panel are Lead Judge M.O.F. Stéphane Tréand, Jean-Marie Auboine and Vincent Pilon, along with other industry leaders.
Now in its third year, the National Showpiece Championship calls for competitors to push the boundaries of normal showpiece construction, but without requiring huge financial and personal sacrifices from competitors. Rather than constraining chefs with endless rules and regulations, the National Showpiece Championship is a new form of competition that encourages chefs to compete at the highest level possible.
Running from August 25th through August 27th, Pastry Live 2013 will host several competitions in addition to the National Showpiece Championship, including the Art of Cake, the Chocolatier of the Year, the Signature Plated Dessert and the Student Chocolate Challenge. Each competition will highlight the industry’s premier talents, ranging from seasoned professionals to rising stars. Also featured during the three day event will be seminars instructed by world class chefs from across the country. Various topics will be covered, offering cutting edge techniques and training to help attendees advance to the next level.
