Raised right here in Columbus, Ohio, Yoakam started his career in the mid-80’s. His unique sound and individuality follow in the footsteps of his icons, Elvis, Merle and Buck, yet preserve him as a one of a kind artist. Yoakam has proved over the years that he is more than a country artist with a guitar, boots and cowboy hat; he is one of country music’s biggest influences. Dwight Yoakam has achieved many awards in his career including two Grammy Awards and 21 Grammy Award nominations. His most recent album, 3 Pears, released in 2012, has landed him the number 18 spot on the American Songwriter’s Top 50 Albums of 2012.
The Bluestone is proud to bring the Columbus, Ohio native back to his hometown to perform on the most unique stage in the area. Constructed initially in 1898 as a Baptist church, the building underwent many renovations and has been transformed into The Bluestone, an extraordinary private and public events venue that offers an unparalleled and unique experience for any type of event.
