Haleiwa, Hawaii – February 28, 2013 – Up and coming skateboarder, 14 year-old Jordyn Barratt of Haleiwa, Hawaii has returned home with a second place win from the Hurley Australian Bowlriders Championship in Newcastle, Australia. This Waialua Intermediate School student was alongside an incredibly talented group in her first international competition that featured amateurs competing alongside a professional division.
Earlier this year, Barratt competed in California at the most prestigious skating event for women, the Vans Girls Combi Pool Classic, where she earned third place. She is currently training for three more competitions across the nation this year and towards her major goal of competing in the X-games in 2014. If she accomplishes this, she would be one of the youngest athletes in the history of the event.
