Triunfo YMCA Spring Basketball League Taking Signups

Feb. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF.--The Triunfo YMCA is signing up participants for spring basketball league. Kids in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible. The eight-game season runs from March 24 through May 19 with practices and Sunday games taking place at Agoura High School (28545 W. Driver Ave., Agoura Hills).  

         The league is semi-competitive and is focused on skill development, sportsmanship and having fun. "The league is co-ed so boys and girls are welcome to participate," says John Napotnik, the Triunfo Y program director. "No experience is necessary." Teams practice once a week.

         The league includes four divisions: kindergarten-first grade, second-third grades, fourth-fifth grades and sixth-eighth grades.  

         Each participant receives a uniform and trophy. The cost is $160 plus a $40 membership fee for YMCA nonmembers.
