River Expeditions presents Terrific Tuesdays

March 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Whitewater rafting  is an exciting way to get away from the pressures of daily life and enjoy a fun day of excitement and adventure.  Experienced rafting enthusiasts, and novice rafters alike, , can experience the exhilaration of a day on the river with River Expeditions in the New River Gorge in West Virginia.

Rafting season on the New River lasts from April to October, with trips offered daily. On Tuesdays, rafters have the opportunity to purchase a pass for the day at regular price, and receive a second pass for half off! Terrific Tuesdays are a fantastic opportunity for the new rafter to experience the thrill of rafting.

White water rafting involves navigating a stretch of river on an inflatable raft. Trips usually last about 5-7 hours, including lunch. Rafting is an exhilarating activity that all ages can enjoy; regardless of experience or skill level. In addition to mild sections appropriate for the new rafter, there are wild areas that are sure to satiate even the biggest adrenaline junkie. While being able to swim is helpful, it is not necessary. Each rafter receives the highest standard in safety equipment with a Coast Guard approved Type V Life Jacket, Paddle, and Helmet.

Terrific Tuesdays is a day-long rafting trip, but to truly experience the New River, it is recommended to raft both sections over two days with a night of camping in between. The two day trip is a great way to experience all the river has to offer, while also offering the best of camping, either riverside or at our basecamp.
