Give2Asia Welcomes Henry Tang as New Chief Financial Officer

March 1, 2013 - PRLog -- SAN FRANCISCO -- Give2Asia, a US-based 501(c)3 social enterprise that specializes in funding charitable projects and organizations in Asia, welcomes Henry Tang as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tang joined Give2Asia at the beginning of February 2013.

Prior to joining Give2Asia, Mr. Tang served as the CFO for Tides, a charitable organization providing services related to donor-advised funds and fiscal sponsorships; and at Merriman Capital, a publicly traded investment bank. He served on a United Nations mission to Angola, where he trained the Ministry of Finance in project finance and evaluated proposed development projects. He taught a graduate course at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.

“Mr. Tang is an accomplished executive with unique expertise in finance, executive leadership, strategy development and investment banking,” said Give2Asia’s Chairman of the Board Ta-lin Hsu. “At his previous posts, Mr. Tang earned a reputation for expertise in a variety of finance capacities, including risk management, re-engineering systems, strategic planning, and financial structuring.”

Mr. Tang holds a Masters in Business Administration from the New York University Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley.

With the help of Mr. Tang’s leadership, Give2Asia anticipates lower costs, higher efficiencies, and innovative new vehicles to deliver philanthropic services to donors, advisors, and local charitable organizations.
