PRLog - Feb. 28, 2013 - ATLANTA -- HUNTSVILLE, ALA.—The new front-engine, front-wheel-drive powertrain that Nissan has in the works will be just as powerful as ever, while consuming less fuel, according to the automaker.

The 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, called the FF Hybrid, will offer drivers a similar amount of torque to the current 3.5-liter V6 engine. Drivers will also experience improved fuel economy with the new powertrain, thanks to a more efficient transmission and a smaller lithium-ion battery.

When the front-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain is made available, it will be suitable for a wide variety of types of vehicles.
