The Rose Theater, located in Omaha, is among the nation's largest professional children's theaters. The Omaha Entertainment Awards, Inc. seeks to enhance the community by planning and producing an annual awards event that uniquely recognizes the performing arts, visual arts and live music of the Omaha area.
Artists are nominated by public vote with the final slate of nominees determined by a panel comprised of respected arts professionals. Final winners are determined by the OEA Academy, comprised of arts professionals and journalists who vote in their respective specialties of visual arts, performing arts, and music.
Carrick performs regularly with Opera Omaha and the Rose Theatre. Most recently she appeared at The Rose as “Mrs. Murphy” in MADELINE’S CHRISTMAS and received critical acclaim and multiple award nominations for her performance at The Rose as “Mother Abbess” in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Her next appearance will be as a featured soloist in the annual OMAHA PRESS CLUB SHOW at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Carrick has also performed with the Omaha Symphony, Omaha Community Playhouse, and many other theatres across the Omaha region.
