Petrella
The single "Working in the USA", was written by Uros Raskovsky and Petrella and produced by Jack Gale and Jim Pierce. Petrella’s has had 3 CDs produced by the legendary record producer, author and award winning radio personality Jack Gale. Jack has produced for recording artists for more than 40 years including Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gale, Willie Nelson and many other Country music legends. The recording started out at the Sound Control Studio/Nashville, TN where country music legends such as Dolly Parton and Vince Gill have recorded.
Petrella’s latest CD “Shine on Me” was produced by Gale and celebrates 25 years in the country music business as an independent artist. This CD reflects the Country-Soul nature of Petrella’s music by fusing country, Gospel, R&B and rock. Petrella has also recorded with noted producers Anthony Smith (Clay Walker, Neil McCoy and Donna Summer) and Jason Miles (Sting and Suzy Bogguss ).
Petrella was on the cover of Cashbox March 1993. Her first album had five singles in the top 100 country singles with a cover of a Glenn Fry of the Eagles song "I Found Somebody" remaining at #52 for 14 weeks. She was also named Songwriter of the Year by the Tennessee Songwriter Association headed up by Jim Sylvis. She has released three national CD's, this being the fourth and three philanthropic CDs for Habitat, CASA, Charitable Christian Medical Centers with 2 singles written for The Lupus Foundation of America, AR Chapter.
Petrella has won the Airplay International Golden Microphone Award and the Producer’s Choice Award. Her first album was nominated for Album of the Year by the Nashville tracker magazine and her single “Blues Stay Away from Me” went to #50 on the charts and was the #1 ranked independent single by Cashbox magazine. Petrella is also a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), The Reunion of Professional Entertainers (ROPE), Country Music Association (CMA), and owns her own Record Label and Publishing Company.
In 2012, two additional CDs were written and recorded by Petrella one in Los Angeles and the other in Nashville. Noted Music Director, Kevin Dorsey, (Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand and other notable artists) worked as vocal coach on both CDs and was the mixer and master on the LA CD. The Nashville project was produced by notable Playback Records independent producer Jack Gale. This CD entitled “Shine on Me” is scheduled for release in Feb 2013 celebrating 25 years in the country music business.
