By: Epitome Management Company Although the film bares little resemblance to the 1984 original, it keeps to the underlying theme of exposing the hip hop dance culture to those who live outside of the world of underground dancers. Galloway teamed up with iflixtv to host the event this coming March 7, 2013 at 7:00pm. Confirmed guest in attendance will be Lisa Wu (Housewives of Atlanta S1-2), Rachell "Rockell" Mercaldo, Diamond (Crime Mob), Rachelle Neal (Let's Stay Together) Selasi Duse (Housewives of Atlanta S5), Reigndrop Lopes, Nancy "Mama" Jones (Love & Hip-Hop NY), Karlie Redd (Love & Hip-Hop ATL), RMA, D-Roc (Yin Yang Twins) Amer Madanat (Making Mr. Right), Jasmine Burke, Brad James, Collizion Crew & Jungle Boogie Crew (As seen on America's Best Dance Crew), Shanell (Young Money Recording Artist) Terri J. Vaughn, Karon J. Riley and Tommy Ford. The film follows a rookie cop played by newcomer Jeremy Strong and his new Police Chief (played by Tommy Ford) as they try to solve the murder of an underground dancer (played by BeeJay Harris-Jungle Boogie Crew). Tickets to the event can only be purchased online at www.beatstreet2012.com. The first showing has already was sold out after 1 week and the 2nd showing at 9:00pm looks to do the same. Support for indie films and of Hip-Hop culture has brought a host of celebrities out to enjoy a good film followed by an after party at Sutra Lounge on Crescent Street near Mid-Town, Atlanta hosted by famed promoters Metro Boyz Entertainment. "Anyone who likes a good dance movie or a good murder mystery should come out to see the film" Galloway says on a local internet radio show. The film has two showtimes; 7:30pm and 9:00pm at the Landmark Theatre/Midtown Arts Cinema on March 7, 2013. End
