MPI received the award for an advertising campaign to promote the eleventh annual Big Bad Ball, a benefit to raise funds for Hospice of Wake County. The campaign was positioned as: “A Sophisticated Soirée, Where It’s Good to Be Bad.” It incorporated the image of a red high-heeled shoe and black bow tie promoting an evening of live music with a silent auction.
“We are thrilled that our creative work did well in this year’s Addy Awards,” said Sal Conino, Partner at MPI. “I’m also proud of our team that continues to produce award winning work for our clients. It’s especially rewarding to receive honors for our pro bono efforts.”
The 2013 Addy Awards received over 300 entries from Triangle advertising agencies this year. The awards honored advertising excellence across an array of media types including: print, broadcast, interactive and public service. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
“It’s a great honor for our team to be recognized,”
According to Hospice of Wake County’s Vice President of Development Michael Blanchard, the organization touches more than 300 lives per day offering physical, emotional and spiritual care to those living with an advanced illness. “We serve patients in Wake, Durham, Johnston, Franklin and Harnett Counties,” said Blanchard. “The benefit helped us raise money to pay for patient care that Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance doesn’t support.”
