Key elements of this fanciful soiree included the first look of the Caribbean Canvas art exhibit. The exhibit was curated by Babacar M’Bow, owner of Multitudes Contemporary Art Gallery. Featured artists included: (Haiti) Carl Juste,Philippe Dodard, Guy Syllien, Gregory Vorbe, Turgo Bastien; (Jamaica) Peter Wayne Lewis, Jerry Craig, Koffi Kayiga, Brian McFarlan:(Nigeria)
Host Andre Williams, Urban EyeTV guided the guests through the evening with the narrative of having a good time. Tastemakers were also mesmerized by the sultry sounds of Bianca Jade and her jazz ensemble. This Miami native won the national competition and opportunity to record with Jordin Sparks for the movie Sparkle. The highlight of evening was a special performance by fire performer Rysha.
“Every aspect of this event was planned meticulously with the goal to produce a quality inaugural event that would resonate with folks and we are just so thrilled with how it all came together. This is merely the first of many Trunque events, so stay tuned for more.” states Henney.
Food was catered by Jackson Soul food and desserts that tickled the taste-buds were provided by Petit Cakes. The tone of the night was set by the extensive playlist of beats provided by Celebrity mixologist Brass King, the Rare Grooves Selector,who had the dance floor packed from the moment he began spinning his special brand of old school classics with new school hits. By the end of the night everyone had let their hair down, taken off their shoes and a good time was had by all. . The event beverage sponsors included: Status Vodka, V Georgio and Premier Beverage.
