Feb. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- At IMHX 2013 in Birmingham from 19-22 March, Hyster will demonstrate the role of handling equipment in transferring goods from ship to shore to store and the shop floor on external Stand No. 01.

“With a selection of Hyster® tough trucks on the outdoor stand at IMHX 2013, we are demonstrating our complete range of materials handling solutions from pallet trucks to container handlers” says Kate Pointeau of Hyster.

“There will be a special focus on products and solutions in the Ports and Terminals sector, as this environment perfectly illustrates how materials handling equipment of all sizes and types is used at various stages of the supply chain, from ship to shore to the store and the shop floor.”

Hyster materials handling equipment displayed at IMHX 2013 will include a ReachStacker, a large unit from the 8-16 Tonne capacity range, several Hyster Fortens® IC Trucks, plus models from the latest generation of energy efficient Hyster® electric counterbalanced range, and a selection of warehousing equipment, illustrating the comprehensive range of Hyster equipment available to support demanding operations.

Hyster ReachStackers and Container Handlers used in ports and terminals are reported to offer significant saving in fuel costs thanks, partly, to Tier 4i/Stage IIIB compliant engines that also significantly reduce fuel emissions.

“Hyster forklift trucks range from high capacity 48 tonne trucks to compact 1.3 tonne capacity three wheel electric trucks so there is a forklift truck for any type of application throughout the supply chain no matter how big or small” says Kate Pointeau.

“Handling operations should match the truck to the application intensity. For example, the Fortens® series of forklift trucks offers many possible configurations to match the needs of the most demanding applications. As an alternative for general use the Hyster CT series offers excellent value for non-intensive use in standard applications.”

In the warehouse store and onto the shop floor, a wide range of reach trucks, order pickers and pallet trucks is also available from Hyster.

At IMHX, Hyster and distribution partner Briggs Equipment UK will show how products and services can be tailored to the most specific and demanding environments encountered in industrial applications. Explosion proofing, attachments and telemetry solutions are amongst the examples to illustrate industry expertise and partnerships with specialist suppliers applied to specific end-user needs.

Considered selection of materials handling equipment can help companies achieve greater efficiency and lower cost of operation.

“The right truck choice can help reduce fuel usage, optimise fleet size or reduce maintenance and day to day operating costs” explains Kate Pointeau. “Service support is also important in order to enhance uptime and efficiency. IMHX visitors will discover how intelligently designed trucks from Hyster, combined with extensive services and unparalleled support capability from Briggs offer end-users a powerful package of services and tools to enhance their handling operations, from ship to shore, and from store to shop-floor.

Visit Hyster Europe and Briggs Equipment on stand No.01, outside the visitors’ exit of Hall 17 at IMHX 2013. For more information, visit www.hyster.eu.
