With those shocking statistics, one has to ask: Where is the media coverage? This is an outrage! It’s time to cry out! It’s time to demand attention for this slaughter! Why is there outrage from the media and politicians when other faiths are persecuted for their beliefs, but not when Christians are executed?
Fox News reported on January 27, 2013:
"Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, an American imprisoned in Iran on charges of evangelizing, was sentenced this morning to eight years in prison. According to the American Center for Law and Justice, Abedini was verbally sentenced in Tehran by Judge Pir-Abassi, known as the “hanging judge,” to eight years in prison for threatening the national security of Iran through his leadership in Christian house churches. He will serve the time in Iran’s notorious Evin Prison, known as one of the most brutal."

Pastor Abedini's fate rests in the hands of a Muslim country that tortures and executes Christian converts regularly. But his story is not unique around the globe. Hundreds of thousands of PEACEFUL and LOVING Christians are being persecuted and killed for their beliefs each year and we sit by and let it happen. These are human beings, just like the Jews who suffered terribly at the hands of Nazi Germany in WWII. THIS IS A HOLOCAUST OF EPIC PROPORTIONS -- yet we do nothing!
Please join me in praying for Christians around the world--for their safety and steadfastness in the ugly face of persecution. And pray for the families of those MURDERED simply for proclaiming the MERCY, LOVE, and GRACE of JESUS CHRIST–for proclaiming Him as a God of PEACE.
And if you are in the media, the church, or are an elected member of The House, The Senate, or The White House and turning a blind eye...SHAME ON YOU! SHAME ON US ALL FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING TO HELP THESE PEOPLE! The time to act is now.
There is a story here that needs to be told -- not just once, but continuously. If ever there was a person worthy of the Noble PEACE Price, it would be the one who stopped this unjust and senseless slaughter of peaceful innocents. If you are a member of the White House Press Corps, ask the tough question: "Why, Mr. President, do you let this happen without even a single word of condemnation?"
