Online Project Management Software ZilicusPM 6.1 Released: Enhances Traceability and Visibility

New features requested by its customers have guided company to release a minor version - ZilicusPM 6.1.

Here is brief information of the features introduced in this version

Project Import = Project Templates + Learnings
Project managers can extend learning from their previous projects to reuse those in new projects. ZilicusPM lets users replicate existing project’s timeline to set the schedule relative to new project’s start date. While importing existing project, users will have three options as you can see in the image below. Users can simply import schedule, or import schedule along with project team resources and retain their assignments or include above two and import project resource groups also.

Summary Task progress indicator (in Gantt chart)
The Gantt chart has become more colorful in this version. Summary tasks will show progress made. This progress indicator will show percentage completion of tasks based on weighted average of its sub-tasks.

Link Issues/ Risks to Tasks
Now Users can ensure traceability among project activities such as issues, risks and tasks. Users can link existing project issues and risks to task. The latest version allows team members to link multiple issues and risks to tasks in the same project. Once issue/ risk linked to task, users can navigate to details of respective issue/risk.

Link Document to Task, Issues and Risk
Project manager and team members can upload and link documents to project tasks. If users is Google Apps user, he can also link Google Documents to tasks, issues and risks

Email Notification: Task assignment email to calendar
When this email preference is set, project team members can receive calendar events for each task assignment. Team members will be able to view task assigned to them in their respective calendar – be it Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Lotus Note Calendar,  Yahoo Calendar, GoDaddy Calendar and many other calendar clients.

PMI Pune Successfully Implement ZilicusPM
Last week, company announced that Project Management Institute’s (PMI) local chapter, PMI Pune chapter has implemented ZilicusPM to manage its initiatives and programs. It has successfully organized its mega business event ‘OnTarget 2013’ using ZilicusPM.

The way forward -
ZilicusPM will introduce interface support for multiple languages like French, Spanish and German among others.
