ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation to Participate in its First 5K

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 25, 2013 - BROOKLYN, NY: -- ArtWorks supporters will lace up their sneakers to run three miles around Prospect Park Sunday, March 3rd, at 9:00 am in Brooklyn, NY. ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation, a local nonprofit organization that provides children and young adults suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses, access to creative and performing arts programming. As one of the charity partners in the Generosity Brooklyn 5K, runners, walkers, and the differently-abled can choose to participate in support of ArtWorks. All proceeds from ArtWorks supporters will be used toward pediatric arts programming in New York Metropolitan Area hospitals.

“ArtWorks is excited to be a part of this incredible event for the first year as a charity partner!” said Daniela Mendelsohn, Executive Director. “It’s a chance for us to introduce the organization to a whole new group of supporters and bring awareness to the healing power of the arts.”

All ages are welcome to participate in the 5K Walk/Run and enjoy a day filled with music, activities, and giveaways. Refreshments will be provided by Real Beanz and the runners will enjoy a pre-race warm-up and cheerleading from the Brooklynettes. In addition to the 5K Walk/Run, the entire family can enjoy the beauty of the park and a plethora of things to do. Whether it’s running, walking, tennis, hiking, the zoo, or the carousel, there’s something for everyone.
