Library Privileges Available for Dentists

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 25, 2013 - Medical/dental library facilities can be available at the University of Illinois both for dentists who are University of Illinois alumni, and those who are not, through the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA).

Graduates of any University of Illinois campus—Chicago, Urbana, or Springfield—with a Sustaining Membership or Life Membership in the University of Illinois Alumni Association have access to the libraries at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Library of the Health Sciences and Daley Library), at Springfield (Brookens Library), and Urbana. At the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) libraries, Alumni Association membership affords borrowing privileges as well.

Dentists who have graduated from any other university also may obtain these same privileges by joining the University of Illinois Alumni Association. One does not have to be an alumnus of the University of Illinois to be a member.

A Sustaining Membership is $50 per year. A Life Membership is achieved when an individual’s gifts to the UIAA reach a total of $1,000.

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry is celebrating its 100th year as a college of the University of Illinois in 2013 with special events throughout the year under the theme “A Proud Past, A Brilliant Future.”
