The Super Lawyers® selection process is recognized by bar associations, law schools, and courts all across the United States and Canada. The selection process is a comprehensive and good-faith attempt to produce a credible list of the nation’s most outstanding lawyers. The attorneys that land on this prestigious list are recognized for having attained a high degree of peer recognition, they have met the highest ethical standards, and they have demonstrated a high degree of achievement in their field of practice.
Super Lawyers® selects attorneys from each state using a rigorous, multiphase rating process which combines peer evaluations and third party research. Each individual candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement;

Such indicators of peer recognition include: verdicts and settlements, experience, honors and achievements, scholarly lectures and writings, and educational and employment background, among other outstanding achievements.
While up to 5% of lawyers are selected as Super Lawyers®, not more than 2.5% of attorneys in the entire state are selected as Rising Stars℠, which is a huge accomplishment for an attorney. For attorney Cicchiello, 2013 marks the third straight year in a row that he landed on Connecticut’
