In late 2011, NYC Event Planner Extraordinaire, Adante Ace created R&B Love Jonz, an R&B and Spoken Word Event. Adante Ace is one of New York City's top Event Planners and Marketing Gurus. Adante Ace began his career by showcasing incredible up & coming and independent artists. His "Unsigned Live", and "Streets Have A Voice" showcase series have spawned many successful artists to date, including Pricilla "P Star" Diaz, who is now currently a main character in PBS' updated remake to the 70s & 80s children classic The Electric Company.
As evidenced by the Grammys removal of several contemporary R&B categories, there is a growing sentiment that R&B music, in the traditional sense, is moving towards a "Hip Hop" Pop hybrid. In addition, the NYC night life has become stagnant. Every night there are endless high priced over valued celebrity hosted events with long lines and crowded clubs. Though these events have become the trademark of the number one city in the world, there is a void of fun & relaxed event that also gives talented singers and poets an opportunity to display their craft.
