Seidman and Grbavac Offer Leadership Insight in New Book

By: Cerebyte

Feb. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Portland, Oregon—William Seidman and Rick Grbavac of Cerebyte help organizations optimize performance by using affirmative leadership. In their new book, “The Star Factor:
Discover What Your Top Performers Do Differently—and Inspire a New Level
of Greatness in All,” they share their knowledge with real-world examples. The
book, published by AMACOM, the publishing division of the American Management
Association, will be released in 2013.

Affirmative Leadership is a proven methodology developed by the authors that
creates leadership programs based on each company’s own unique strengths and
needs. By combining the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience and psychology with
advances in technology, the authors have helped hundreds of companies exceed
their performance expectations.

Several other leadership books have explored new developments in neuroscience
and applied these findings to motivation and organizational change and leadership.
But Seidman and Grbavac go a step further by applying their real-world business
experience to the recent findings. In their new book, they provide practical advice
on how organizations can implement these ideas and develop better leaders.

A director of factory automation who worked with Seidman and Grbavac said, “We had
to convert a group of highly technical, narrowly focused engineers into leaders of a
significant organizational transformation. Most of my peers didn’t think it could be
done. Using the Affirmative Leadership model presented here, we could actually see
these engineers exert effective leadership in about six weeks, and at the end of the
entire six months program, they were the primary leaders of the change for 5,000
factory workers. I would recommend Affirmative Leadership to anyone wanting to
improve performance in their organization.”

In “The Star Factor,” the authors will teach readers how to do what hundreds
of companies already using the methodology have achieved: Identify their top
performers, motivate others to adopt their knowledge and behaviors, and effectively
transform the corporate-wide culture.
