Ashland Business Association Offers Scholarships to High School Seniors

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 25, 2013 - Ashland, MA – Each year the Ashland Business Association (http://www.ashlandfirst.com/) (ABA) awards scholarships to high school seniors residing in Ashland. This year the ABA will award two-$1,000 scholarships to students who best demonstrate good work ethics, motivation, creativity and business/community interests. The deadline to submit all application and supporting material is midnight, April 26.

The ABA Scholarship Committee received 25 applications in 2012, more than any prior year. Last year’s winners were Jason Morse and Danielle Kapriellian. Jason is attending Boston College with an interest Biology and Danielle is attending Springfield College with an interest in Physical Therapy. Scholarship Committee members Adam Sachs and Beth Null made the awards presentation at graduation last June.

ABA Scholarship Committee members are Adam Sachs, chair (Centinel Financial Group), Bill Gath (The Homes Connection of Metrowest), Julie Nardone (Fearless Design) and Elizabeth Null (Learning Quest Education).

The ABA is a member association that meets every other month in the Ashland Library Community Room, 66 Front Street, to provide networking opportunities and informational programs to business owners. The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 2; 6:30-7:00 pm for early networking and 7:00- 8:30 pm for the program. Meetings are open to ABA members and guests.
