The 1930’s saw Edmund Bell & Company grow its product range to capitalise on the demand for blackout curtains. Before long the business had shifted its focus to become a specialist supplier of curtain linings, blackout and dimout fabrics.
Over the years Edmund Bell has worked closely with manufacturers and finishers to develop cutting edge processes to enable the production of quality products.
In 2005 Edmund Bell proudly celebrated its 150th anniversary by joining the elite group of companies to be awarded the UK’s most coveted business accolade – the Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade.
In 2008 the company was acquired by the Atherton family, who have invested heavily in the facilities and innovations. Brian and John Atherton bring additional industry knowledge to the business and a client focused approach.
