ACCESS Strives to Make Services Available to All Students

"An excellent resource for the budget strapped student." Free College Admissions Consulting and Mentoring Services through ACCESS - Academic Consulting & Core Education Support Services.

PRLog - Feb. 25, 2013 - California, USA (February 23, 2013) -- ACCESS - Academic Consulting & Core Education Support Services is pleased to announce pro bono services for college bound students. This program was created to allow college admissions planning services to be available to all students regardless of socioeconomic situations.   The free education consulting services are available to eligible students nationwide.

Students qualify for free college admissions planning or mentoring services if they are eligible for “low-income” consideration. Students are also eligible if the family meets income guidelines for public school Free and Reduced Meals Subsidies.  Other factors in the qualification process include:

• United States residency.

• High School students must have an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 2.6 in core academic courses.

• Students  should be self-driven and highly committed to learning and personal development. Scholars should demonstrate an ability to work hard, meet deadlines, honor commitments, and stay on course despite obstacles. Scholars will receive coaching and mentoring.

ACCESS strives to offer pro bono services to 40% of its student clients.  It's goal is to accept a pro bono client for every paying client it serves.  Every student deserves the additional help that can make a difference in their academic endeavors.  With the current economic trends in education, there is a shortage of guidance and college counselors in public schools and the amount of help a student can access is very limited.  According to a US Department of Education Guidance School survey, over-stretched school guidance counselors are only providing an average of 38 minutes of college admissions advice per US high school student.  Under such circumstances, financially capable students and families are hiring private educational consultants to assist with the college admissions process.  However, there are many academically equivalent students who cannot afford such services, thus do not receive equivalent education support services that can make a difference in the college admissions process.

ACCESS is reaching out to local school districts to offer its free college admissions consulting as well as free mentoring services to eligible students in cooperation with the schools.  The mission of the company is to close the education gap by offering cost effective consulting and by making services available to a diverse population of students.  ACCESS welcomes inquiries about its free education consulting services from schools as well as individual students and families.  Contact ACCESS for more information or resources via the company's website or by calling the toll free number.
