The Jamaican Associates Inc. an IRS designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, during its February Board of Directors’ meeting elected new officers to lead the organization over the next two years. Re-elected as the organization’s President is Barry Llewellyn.  Serving with Mr. Llewellyn in the office of Vice President is Mrs. Enid McNeil, Secretary Jennette Parnell and Asst. Sec. Lorraine Robinson, Treasurer Paulette Wilkinson and Asst. Treasurer Clyde Francis.   As the oldest continuously operating Jamaican organization in the United States, the Jamaican Associates Inc. for over 75 years has operated at the center of social, economic and political empowerment issues facing Jamaicans, Caribbean descents and people of color in Massachusetts.  President Barry Llewellyn reflected on how the organization must build on its past successes of sending a membership delegation to hand deliver support for the Bustamante Children’s Hospital during Jamaica 50th Celebrations, our annual October support of Jamaican apple pickers in Massachusetts and our own Jamaica 50th Dinner Dance event.
