- Feb. 24, 2013 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds, which will go directly towards the making of “Where The Road Ends,” a documentary film focused on conserving the last untouched rainforest in North America. Right now, this rainforest is facing a very certain and immediate end as drug cartels and timber companies illegally raze the final 62 miles of road-less jungle. The filmmaker's intent is to expose the illegal destruction and killing occurring daily, and the sustainable alternatives that must be implemented in order to protect this last untouched outpost of North American rainforest, located at the end of the Pan-American Highway in Panama.
The “Where The Road Ends” team is bringing together like-minded brands and individuals to further the awareness of the corruption and devastation. The event will feature a cocktail hour, a preview of footage, a silent auction, and a conversation and Q & A with the filmmaker, Billy Zeb Smith. All money raised at the event will go directly towards the making of the film.
Event Sponsors Include: Environment Furniture, Quicksilver, The People’s Movement, Skilogic, Becherovka Liquer, Arbor, Fjall Raven, Pro Surfer Travis Logie, The Heart And The Hunter Restaurant, and Roberto Dutesco.Photo:
