Improving Body Image in the Elderly

Many people who talk about being or feeling old suffer from poor body image. Luckily, this is something that can be reversed in many cases.

There has been previous research that has shown similar data with people being overweight. The people that are constantly talking about losing weight or being fat are not necessarily those people who are obese. Talking about being overweight doesn’t necessarily mean that you are overweight, but it can reveal a poor self image. When someone talks about being overweight, they might be extremely fit, yet they don’t picture themselves in this light. They focus on just the negatives about themselves, even if those negative things are completely imaginary and only in their heads.
