PRLog -- There is a small niche of skilled jobs that come open every day here in America. There is one problem. Few are under retirement age and able to fill these well-paid, skilled positions. But one man, Patrick Nessmith, has a vision to train low risk prisoners to fill these positions. The highly specialized screw machine operators positions are perfectly suited for certain well qualified released prisoners. It seems the repetitive tasks necessary for screw machine operators are similar to the tasks required in certain prisoner work programs. Patrick Nessmith’s vision is to train selected less-offenders and fill the screw machine operator’s positions right here in the US through his innovative company, ASM Productions Impact LLC. As present operators retire, the jobs are going overseas and US plants are forced to close whole divisions due to lack of trained operators here in the US. Nessmith states, “This program will train the less-offenders with an employable skill, give them pride, and keep them out of the prison system.” In cooperation and partnership with local foundations, organizations, and manufacturing offers a second chance to all persons who qualify for the program. Larry Tasker of Precision Machined Products Association explains, “The outlook for screw machine operators, both journeyperson and apprentice, is extremely good…approximately 500,000 new or replaced skilled tradespersons will be needed in the next five years.” Executive director Patrick Nessmith, himself a Journeyman and expert in all aspects of the screw machine and its operation, is also an accomplished educator. His vision is gaining momentum and the outlook for his economy revving training center is growing. For more information, or to get involved in the effort, contact: Patrick Nessmith 815 540-9549
