Edgemere Hosts Actress Gloria Hocking Who Performs One Woman Show

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 22, 2013 - Edgemere, an upscale Preston Hollow retirement center sponsored by Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), recently hosted actress Gloria Hocking who performed a one woman show about Alice Lee Roosevelt Longworth, who was the oldest child of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States. Longworth was the only child of Roosevelt and his first wife, Alice Hathaway Lee. Longworth led an unconventional and controversial life.  

“It was such an entertaining and educational performance,” said Lorraine Kendrick, lifestyles director at Edgemere.. “Hocking has such a gift and is such a talented performer. We enjoyed every minute of her passionate performance.”

Hocking has acted on film, radio and in theater. She is known for her one woman shows. She favors characters struggling with everyday life, employing humor, courage and faith as survival tools.
