The adoption of RPO among large buyers has been increasing steadily; 38 percent of buyers surveyed by SIA report using RPO, up from 30 percent a year ago and 14 percent five years ago. With corporations facing the challenge of managing employment growth with leaner recruiting departments in the aftermath of the recession, the adoption rate for RPO is expected to go up even higher among large companies, and for midsize employers as well.
While several large staffing firms are now well-established leaders in the growing RPO market, small and midsize staffing firms are also looking at it with great interest, due to increasing demand for recruiting help from their small-to-midsize client base.
