Feb. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- The Military Order of the Purple Heart was created in 1958 in an effort to help support our country’s military veterans, specifically those wounded in battle. Today, the organization helps organize and coordinate a number of charitable programs nationwide.

Keenan Motors is hosting a clothing drive to benefit the Military Order of the Purple Heart, throughout the month of February. Any Mercedes-Benz shoppers from Newtown interested in donating can drop off donations in the blue collection containers located in both the sales and service departments.

Mercedes-Benz Shoppers Can Give Back To Those Who’ve Given So Much

Keenan Motors has teamed up with Chapter #170 of The Military Order of the Purple Heart in an effort to collect clothing for the veterans of Bucks County in need. Over the past few years, Keenan Motors has been able to collect over 1,000 lbs. of donated clothing, and is hoping to surpass previous donations this year.

All new or gently used clothing donations are eagerly accepted at Keenan Motors, as are other crucial household items such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. Please keep in mind that these donations go to the veterans and their families, so children’s clothes and the like are greatly appreciated.
