Next up for Brandy is Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall Collections 2013 on February 7th-14th. New York Fashion Week is always a whirlwind fast fashion and glam on the go. Brandy kicked off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at 4am the morning of Winter Storm Nemo at Lincoln Center in New York by doing makeup for Project Runway Finale TV show. Brandy closed the book on this week’s events with a fun video segment with Brad Goreski from the hit Bravo reality show “It’s a Brad Brad World” and Old Navy for a “Spring Wardrobe Makeover” on the Katie Couric show.
No quick break, the last day of Fashion Week was a ride to the airport at 5am to catch her flight heading to Houston, Texas. It’s time for NBA All-Star Weekend for which she is NBA Key Makeup Artist. She starts with picking up credentials at the George Brown Convention Center, followed by a walk-through of the Toyota Center on Thursday making sure all of the talents makeup room is makeup ready before the weekend’s first event. Friday officially launches with doing natural makeup for Queen Latifah who assistant coached “NBA Sprint Celebrity All-Star Game”. Saturday brought on trendy HD makeup for performances by: RaVaughn, Ellie Goulding, Phillip Phillips, Fall Out Boy and 2 Chainz. The weekend climaxed on Sunday at the Hilton Hotel grooming comedian Bill Bellamy and TNT sportscaster Ernie Johnson at the NBA Legends Luncheon that morning. As soon as she wraps at the luncheon car service brings her back to her hotel to change and pick up her second makeup kit. She then rushes over to The Toyota Center where she had a 2pm creative meeting with her team to introduce the makeup look for Ne-Yo’s dancers. At 4pm she does makeup on Actress Gloria Reuben for her Canadian National Anthem performance. At 6:30pm she does Ne-Yo’s makeup for his lead in performance introducing the East and West All-Stars for the NBA All-Star Game. Now back to Connecticut for a quick breather before the last leg of this month journey ends with a wedding in Jamaica. Okay, so maybe Jamaica is a perfect ending to a long road. “This is what it is all about and I love what I do. Glam Life Of A Makeup Artist,” laughs Gomez Duplessis.
