Serena Software To Present At Application Lifecycle Management Forum 2013

• Kevin Lee to present on how adopting DevOps methodologies can improve the application delivery process • Increased frequency of application releases means better management is needed

PRLog - Feb. 22, 2013 - St Albans, UK – 21st February 2013 – Serena Software (http://www.serena.com/), the leader in orchestrated application development, IT and business processes, today announced that Kevin Lee, senior solutions architect at the company will present a session at the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Forum 2013, which will take place on the 28th of February 2013.

Titled “Leveraging DevOps Practices to Improve the Application Delivery Process,” Kevin’s presentation will discuss how applying DevOps methodologies to release management can help get applications out to the business more efficiently. As separate entities, Dev wants fast development and deployment whilst Ops puts the emphasis on stable systems and no problems for users. The DevOps approach helps the two teams overcome the issues they face in order to deliver applications that are best for the user and for the business as a whole.

“Organisations are now realising how important effective communication between Dev and Ops can be to deliver successful application releases, particularly as these become more frequent,” commented Mark Slater, regional director for UK and Ireland at Serena Software. “This event is a good opportunity to explore how taking a more joined-up approach to application delivery processes can help organisations to be more efficient.”

Serena Software provides organisations with solutions to improve their business processes around application delivery, from initial demand within the business through to development and deployment out to the wider enterprise. By taking an integrated approach to working with existing tools and solutions across the software development supply chain, Serena Software can orchestrate the process and help teams deliver better quality applications faster and more efficiently.
