Mr. DiPietro has an extensive corporate career with such companies as Eastern Air Lines and Avatar Land Holdings serving as a financial analyst and budget analyst. He operated his own jewelry company working with the insurance industry specializing in replacements for their policyholders. He has vast and in-depth business knowledge and experience in such industries as Telecom, Mailing & Shipping and Merchant Services. Currently he operates Michael DiPietro LLC, a governmental affairs and business consulting firm.
Mr. DiPietro moved to Doral in 1992 where he began his community involvement by serving as a Board Member for the Chamber of Commerce; as a Community Activist; and the Miami-Dade County School Board Education Committee. He was appointed by the Miami-Dade County Commissioner to serve on the committee which was successful in bringing incorporation to the eventual City of Doral. In 2002, he was elected to the Doral Community Council; in 2003, elected to the initial City Council; and won his second term in 2008 and served as Vice Mayor until 2012.
Mr. DiPietro continued to serve on many city, county and state wide committees and boards and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Doral Business Council; The American Cancer Society; and is the Fundraising Chair for the Florida Custom Brokers & Forwarders Association’
