MarshallTalk has rolled out another unique head scratching deal as part of the relaunch of their Income Tax season kickoff at http://www.marshalltalk.com an Internet Talk Show + Daily Deals website all-in-one. Marshall the founder of MarshallTalk.com said "I think we should not only offer unique deals, but also deals that are more in tune with the current shopping trends, this way our Deal of the Day, along with our Dollar Store offers will be appealing to our website visitors whether they are supporters of the MarshallTalk Show or not." This deal seems perfect for collectors and sports enthusiast. The description on http://www.marshalltalk.com states "These collections include Star player and Special inserts from a variety of regular and premium brands such as Fleer, Leaf, Topps, Upper Deck and other manufacturers. You will receive a large range of sportscards from 1 to 40 years old", also "These collections were created to be a great deal at $99.99 each, so for the $29.95 price with Free Shipping included that we are offering these to you for is considered an absolutely amazing deal and not only can be fun, but very profitable for just about anyone now and in the future if you maintain the condition these cards are currently in." This type of deal seems to be something different that would be appealing to people that are looking for unique gifts, or are serious sports fans. While this Deal of the Day seems very interesting, it is not clear whether or not consumers that are not supporters of the MarshallTalk Show would make purchases of this type of product.
As previously reported MarshallTalk the Internet Call-In Talk Show originally created in 2004 is back after a few years hiatus. MarshallTalk was one of the hottest but controversial independent online Talk Shows early in its existence. Of course, during 2004 through 2006 there were not a lot of Call-in Talk Shows on the Internet, so the Talk Shows extreme popularity could have been a result of minimal competition. MarshallTalk.com has launched a New Marketing campaign that includes extreme Deal of the Day offers and an intense interaction with supporters and non supporters through Social Media. They are hoping the combination of these extreme Deal of the Day offers and Social Media will help them go Viral again.
Marshall said "The new format is very exciting, especially when I think about not having to worry about losing Sponsors due to something I wrote on the Blog or said on the Talk Show. I have never been one to bite my tongue. I believe honesty and fair debate is crucial to discussing and resolving most issues." Marshall's excitement is due to the new format MarshallTalk.com http://www.marshalltalk.com
has taken, they no longer solicit Sponsors. The service is financed by selling Daily Deals with a small mix of Banner Advertising, so the Show doesn't have any official sponsors. MarshallTalk plans to add Deal Promotions and On-Air Shout-Outs in the near future, so they plan on keeping their Independence in tact for the long haul.
