PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 22, 2013 - BOISE, ID (February 22, 2013) – Social Good Network has partnered with Whole Foods Market to provide online donation options, as part of a pilot program, for its annual campaign to benefit the Whole Planet Foundation®.

The new Whole Foods Market in Boise, Idaho, as well as other locations, are using Social Good Network’s online fundraising platform to expand in-store efforts and increase donations and awareness for the campaign via online and social media. Whole Foods’ Facebook page features Social Good Network’s new Facebook app, which makes it easy and convenient for people to donate to a cause on the social media platform. The Whole Planet Foundation® is also featured on Social Good Network’s community website.

“We’re a new store and this is exciting new territory for us to expand our fundraising capabilities to online and social media with Social Good Network,” said Matt Collins, marketing director for Whole Foods Market Boise.  The Facebook giving app is being made available to all Whole Foods store locations for the duration of the campaign, which runs through March 31st.
The campaign helps fund the Whole Planet Foundation®, which seeks to alleviate poverty by empowering entrepreneurs in global communities through microcredit lending programs.  The private, nonprofit foundation was established by Whole Foods Market.

“As social entrepreneurs, we love Whole Planet Foundation’s mission. As online fundraisers and marketers, we’re keen to help brands like Whole Foods Market amplify their web and social cause marketing efforts,” said Russ Stoddard, Social Good Network Chief Do-Gooder and co-founder.
