The Latino Business Chamber of Greater Los Angeles (LBC-GLA) used My Business Matches’™ (MBM) online business matchmaking software and event services to execute the business matchmaker at the 4th Annual Latino Business Awards Luncheon and Business Matchmaking held on February 21, 2013 in Los Angeles, CA at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
The successful event brought together corporations and government agencies with LBC-GLA business owners to discuss current and upcoming procurement opportunities. Over 400 companies were matched and 200 face-to-face meetings occurred during the half day session.
Jeff Vigil, President and CEO of My Business Matches™ said, “By offering its members a business matchmaker where corporations and government agencies are actively pursuing Hispanic Business Enterprises with current business opportunities, the LBC-GLA is doing its part to bring value to its membership and to aid in California's economic recovery. A match at this event has the potential to anchor a business and create sustainable jobs for Californians.”
“We wanted to bring our membership something new and valuable,” said Jorge Corralejo, LBC-GLA Chairman. “The business matchmaking software fit into our agenda of helping Latino businesses via technology. Members were able to enter the good or service they provided and the software matched them with buyers seeking that good or service. Then they met face-to-face at our event. I was proud to know that LBC-GLA connected buyers with current opportunities to our members who are qualified and capable.”
Aside from the business matchmaker, the event celebrated the 4th year of Latino Business excellence with an awards luncheon that recognized businesses in the following categories: Small Business, Medium Business, Large Business, Public Business, Innovation, Fastest Growing and the Honorary Legacy Award.
