Jackson Dodge Looks Forward to the 2013 Ram 1500 with EcoDiesel Engine

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 21, 2013 - Arriving in the third quarter of 2013, the new 2014 Ram 1500 will be available at Jackson Dodge in Medicine Hat (http://www.jacksondodge.com/new-and-used-vehicles-medicine-hat.htm) with a powerful new EcoDiesel engine, making Ram the first manufacturer to offer a diesel pickup in the light-duty half-ton segment. The new EcoDiesel engine is a 3.0L V6 and will be combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Instead of resting on its previous success, Ram is building on it, pushing the boundaries of the 2013 Ram 1500’s success, which included the Motor Trend “2013 Truck of the Year”, the “2013 North American Truck of the Year”, and “The 2013 Truck of Texas”. The new EcoDiesel engine will be added to the 2013 lineup of powertrain options, which currently include a 4.7L V8 flex-fuel engine, a 3.6L V6 flex-fuel engine, and a 5.7L V8 engine that produces 395 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque.

While the 2013 Ram 1500 (http://www.jacksondodge.com/2013-dodge-ram-1500.htm) already offers best-in-class fuel economy at 7.8L/100 km, Chrysler Canada has already announced that the new model will surpass its predecessor with the best fuel economy in its class while also offering best-in-class torque, driving range, and commanding horsepower capabilities.

In addition to its powerful and efficient performance capacities, the new Ram 1500 engine’s ability to process clean diesel will lead to even lower CO2 emissions, achieving 60 percent lower emissions than diesel engines 25 years ago.

The new model is also expected to return with Ram’s best-in-class interior technology and design, with standard fare that already includes a leather steering wheel with audio and cruise control, 12V and 115V front power outlets, and a 7-speaker stereo system with Sirius XM satellite radio, auxiliary audio input and iPod integration, a memory card slot, adjustable speed sensitive volume control, USB connection, and Bluetooth wireless hands-free technology.
The upcoming 2014 Ram 1500 with a new powerful, fuel-efficient, and low CO2 EcoDiesel engine is coming in the fall of 2013 to Jackson Dodge, located at 1500 Strachan Road in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
