The new EcoDiesel engine will be added to the 2013 lineup of powertrain options, which currently include a 4.7L V8 flex-fuel engine, a 3.6L V6 flex-fuel engine, and a 5.7L V8 engine that produces 395 hp and 407 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to its powerful and efficient performance capacities, the new Ram 1500 engine’s ability to process clean diesel will lead to even lower CO2 emissions, achieving 60 percent lower emissions than diesel engines 25 years ago.
The new model is also expected to return with Ram’s best-in-class interior technology and design, with standard fare that already includes a leather steering wheel with audio and cruise control, 12V and 115V front power outlets, and a 7-speaker stereo system with Sirius XM satellite radio, auxiliary audio input and iPod integration, a memory card slot, adjustable speed sensitive volume control, USB connection, and Bluetooth wireless hands-free technology.
