Perhaps this is because a smile is timeless. It remains the same no matter how old a person gets. A survey commissioned by Match.com showed that more than half of the singles interviewed ranked teeth as the most important characteristic they look for in a partner. In another survey, 52% of interviewees aged 50 years and above said that the smile is the most memorable feature of a person while 45% of interviewees aged 18 to 49 years said the same. Moreover, respondents to another study showed that people with a flawed smile are less attractive and, as a result, are less confident.
It is, then, no wonder that people are investing a lot on their smile. More than 80% of interviewees admitted that they spend money to maintain a young-looking appearance. Out of that percentage, more or less 60% said they would spend money to maintain the quality of their teeth.
With all these numbers, it is truly important to take care of one's teeth. You can do this by going to regular dental visits or go through cosmetic dental treatments.
