Michael Sackett had been enduring roof leaks and emptying buckets full of water for several months with no way to finance the new roof that his family’s home needs. In December, Santa’s elves surprised the Sackett family right before Christmas with a brand new roof.
And just last week before Valentine’s Day, a Fort Myers widow got her wish.
“I lost my husband one year ago this month,” said Letty Waltrip. “This is such a wonderful surprise and a true answer to prayer.”
Roof Smart of Southwest Florida provided the labor and the materials to complete the roof replacements. Roof replacement services for both homes are valued at more than $19,000.00. JGA Beacon Distributor and Polyglass assisted with the materials. All services and products were provided by the companies at no charge to the homeowner.
“Roof repairs and replacements are one of the most common requests that come into our office. Rain totals over the past year have increased and so we have seen an increase in roof requests,” said Heidi Taulman, executive director, Lee BIA Builders Care. “Roof Smart of Southwest Florida brightened the holidays and lives of these families. Their gifts will be appreciated for many years to come.”
