The first is “How to Start a UAV Business.” There are hundreds of businesses starting up to manufacture and operate small unmanned aircraft vehicles. The FAA has stated that there will be over 10,000 commercial UAVs in the next 5 years. The second course is “Police UAV Applications, Operations and Regulations.” Chief of Police, Dimitris Gkritzapis, PhD describes police applications for small unmanned aircraft vehicles including: aerial policeman, GIS & mapping applications, accident investigations, traffic management, SWAT, explosive disposal unit, emergency response team, hazardous material operations, crime scene investigation, gathering evidence, gunfire rescue of civilians, conservation enforcement, VIP protection, training of police forces, search and rescue, criminal intelligence, disaster response, prevention of attacks, surveillance missions, narcotics investigations, chemical biological agent detection and suspect or vehicle tracking. Gain a thorough working knowledge of small UAVs and sensors including operational capabilities of the most common systems available today and the technologies behind them. Lectures also include Definitions and Types, Small UAV Sensors, Small UAV Design, Small UAV Propulsion, Small UAV Energy Storage, Small UAV Regulation and Small UAV Operations. The course contains 16 hours of lectures published on a DVD, in MPEG-4 format with an embedded University seal. You will receive a professional certificate after viewing all videos.
