For the new 2013 season opening March 23, we introduce
DICKENS WORLD - THE GRAND TOUR
In Dickens’ day when people took ‘The Grand Tour’ it usually meant they were taking an extended holiday to France and Italy. We have borrowed this theme to create an exciting, informative and funny guided tour through the world that Charles Dickens lived in.
The attraction building is currently undergoing a substantial internal change to create the tour. Our actors are being trained to deliver this by Sally Harman at West End Classrooms from a script written by Director/Writer Robbie Humphries in collaboration with David Hawes of The Dickens Fellowship.
In a significant departure from the upward drive in visitor attraction pricing we are reducing our headline price from £13 to just £5.50! We believe that this price will make our Grand Tour Experience more affordable to families, in what we all know is a challenging economic environment.
Our reasoning is simple; we are opening up the attraction to many families who may not otherwise be able to afford a family day out. We are not offering less; we are offering more and believe we will expand the business with a greatly enhanced footfall by doubling the experience with our innovative guided tours of Dickensian/Victorian England. Thus providing a new, fresh and enjoyable day out for our visitors; both old and young.”
Key to the delivery of the new attraction is the appointment of Lenny Andreou as General Manager, a successful entrepreneur, restaurateur and a key player in the success of other UK attractions.

The Kent themed attraction will re-open it’s doors to the public for the new 2013 season
on My Big Kent Weekend Saturday 23rd March 2013. Tickets for My Big Kent Weekend are severely oversubscribed, Dickens World having received the second largest applications of all Kent attractions. My Big Kent Weekend is now fully allocated but customers can book Dickens World – The Grand Tour on 0844 858 6656 from Sat March 23.
