He recalls: "I have memories of my late role model, Lori Fantini – Metro Public Adjustment, who taught me the business, and from the time I was 23 years old, I've worked in that company. I was doing inventories of flooded buildings during catastrophic events, as a trainee, and my up-line within that company has taught me so much about this industry.
"Nobody pushed me into it - it was definitely a match. I love what I do, and I love helping people."
Today, Woodlyn Schwartz, which has just relocated its main headquarters from Philadelphia to Bala Cynwyd, which includes a staff of more than 30 lawyers, property loss consultants, CPAs, construction specialists, estimators and adjusters.
